LeadLynx Bot Setup Guide
A guide to setting up the HD bot for members that are in PL
Step 1Click on the add a server button in discord
Step 2Click on the "Create My Own" button
Step 3Click on the "For me and my friends" button
Step 4Click on the "Create" button (IMPORTANT: Do not change the name of the server)
Step 5After the server is created, go to https://discord.com/developers/applications and click on the "New Application" button
Step 6Create a generic name for the application, accept the terms of service and click on the "Create" button
Step 7After the bot is created, click on the "Installation" tab on the left side of the page
Step 8Deselect the "User Install" button, and change the "Install Link" to "None", then click on the "Save Changes" button
Step 9Now, click on the "Bot" tab on the left side of the page
Step 10Click on the "Reset Token" button, and copy the token (IMPORTANT: Save this token for later)
Step 11Scroll down, disable the "Public Bot" toggle, then enable "Presence Intent", "Server Members Intent", and "Message Content Intent"
Step 12Click on the "Save Changes" button
Step 13Now, go to the "OAuth2" tab on the left side of the page
Step 14Copy the "Client ID" (IMPORTANT: Save this for later)
Step 15Lower down, select "bot" from the OAuth2 URL Generator scopes, then scroll down
Step 16In the "General Permissions" section, select "Administrator", then click on the "Copy" button
Step 17Paste the link in the server you created earlier and send the message
Step 18Click on the link, make sure you have the right/current server selected, then click on the "Continue" button
Step 19Press the "Authorize" button, and now your bot should be added to the server. If it isn't, you selected the wrong server in the last step.
Step 20After the bot is added, send the Client ID and the Bot Token to me, and you're all set!
